Prevention Tips
Be active
Exercise can have a significant effect on reducing your risk of breast cancer. It is estimated that being physically active can reduce your risk by around 20%. The more exercise, the greater the benefit. The World Health Organisation recommends doing 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week.
Eat well
Eating a balanced diet that contains plenty of fruit and non-starchy vegetables (such as broccoli, celery, courgettes, or aubergine), whole grains and oily fish, and limiting saturated fat, added sugar and salt can be beneficial in reducing risk.
